BI-WEEKLY POOL SERVICE
CUSTOMER BETWEEN-VISIT CARE GUIDELINES

Thank you for choosing Crystal Water Pool Services for your pool maintenance needs.

Because your pool is serviced every two weeks rather than weekly, customer participation between service visits is important to help maintain proper water quality, circulation, and cleanliness. Following these guidelines can significantly reduce the likelihood of algae growth, cloudy water, equipment problems, and additional service charges.

WHAT WE RECOMMEND BETWEEN VISITS

Every 2–3 Days

✓ Empty skimmer basket(s)

Leaves, insects, and debris restrict water flow and place additional strain on your pool equipment. Check baskets regularly and empty as needed.

✓ Check pool water level

Maintain water approximately halfway up the skimmer opening. Low water levels can damage pumps and reduce circulation.

✓ Remove floating debris

Use a leaf net to remove leaves, insects, and other debris from the water surface before they sink to the bottom.

✓ Verify pump operation

Ensure the pump is running normally without unusual noises, leaks, or loss of water flow.

Weekly

✓ Brush pool walls, steps, benches, ladders, and corners

Brushing helps prevent algae growth and improves circulation in areas where water movement is limited.

✓ Check filter pressure

Monitor your filter pressure gauge. If pressure rises significantly above normal operating pressure, contact us or perform recommended filter maintenance.

✓ Inspect equipment

Look for leaks, unusual noises, damaged equipment, tripped breakers, or error messages.

WATER CHEMISTRY

We strongly recommend testing pool water at least two (2) times per week between service visits.

Pay particular attention to:

• Free Chlorine
• pH
• Total Alkalinity

Additional chlorine may be needed:

• After heavy rainfall
• After pool parties or heavy swimming activity
• During periods of extreme heat
• When chlorine levels test low or zero

If chlorine levels fall to zero, algae growth can begin quickly, particularly during warm weather.

CUSTOMERS WITH SALT POOLS

Salt systems help maintain chlorine levels but are not maintenance-free.

Please:

• Verify the salt system is operating properly
• Check for warning lights or error messages
• Monitor chlorine levels regularly
• Notify us if chlorine production appears inadequate

AFTER STORMS OR HEAVY RAIN

Following significant rainfall, wind events, or storms:

✓ Remove debris from the pool
✓ Empty skimmer baskets
✓ Verify equipment is operating properly
✓ Check water clarity
✓ Test chlorine and pH levels

Heavy rainfall may dilute pool chemicals and increase the risk of algae growth.

PLEASE CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY IF YOU NOTICE:

• Cloudy water
• Green water or algae growth
• Strong odors
• Excessive debris accumulation
• Equipment failure
• Low water levels
• Unusual water loss
• Pump, filter, or heater problems
• Electrical issues affecting pool equipment

Prompt notification often allows problems to be corrected before they require extensive cleaning, additional chemicals, or Green-to-Clean restoration services.

IMPORTANT

Bi-weekly pool service is designed for pools that remain reasonably maintained between service visits.

Pool conditions can change rapidly due to weather, equipment failures, swimmer load, chemical demand, contamination, or other factors beyond the control of Crystal Water Pool Services.

Customers who choose bi-weekly service acknowledge responsibility for basic between-visit monitoring and maintenance as described above.

Failure to perform recommended between-visit care may result in additional service charges, off-route service visits, chemical charges, corrective treatments, Green-to-Clean services, or other restoration services if pool conditions deteriorate between scheduled appointments.
