CUSTOM DESIGN & FINAL APPEARANCE

Holiday lighting installations are customized to the individual property.

Customer requests, photographs, examples, and design discussions are used as guidance; however, exact placement may be adjusted during installation because of roof configuration, landscaping, electrical access, structural limitations, safety considerations, product availability, attachment options, weather, or site conditions.

Minor differences in spacing, positioning, brightness, appearance, or symmetry may occur due to the physical characteristics of the property.

ROOFLINE & STRUCTURAL INSTALLATION

Lighting may be attached using clips, hooks, temporary fasteners, cables, ties, or other installation methods appropriate for the property and lighting system.

Johnson Seasonal Services will use reasonable installation methods intended to minimize damage while maintaining a secure seasonal installation.

The customer must notify Johnson Seasonal Services before installation of any known fragile, damaged, deteriorated, loose, newly installed, or unusually sensitive roofing, siding, gutters, trim, masonry, landscaping, or other surfaces.

Pre-existing damage or deterioration may limit where lighting can safely be installed.

TREES, SHRUBS & LANDSCAPING

Lighting installed on trees, shrubs, and landscaping is subject to natural movement, growth, wind, snow, ice, falling leaves, animals, and other environmental conditions.

Placement may be adjusted when necessary to avoid unnecessary damage to plants or to allow safe installation and removal.

Johnson Seasonal Services cannot guarantee that every branch, shrub, or landscaping element will maintain exactly the same appearance throughout the season.

WREATHS, GARLAND & SEASONAL DÉCOR

Wreaths, garland, bows, displays, and other seasonal décor will be installed only when included in the customer's approved service.

Promotional wreaths or other seasonal décor provided as part of an offer may remain the property of Johnson Seasonal Services and may be removed at seasonal takedown.

Any customer-owned decorations to be incorporated into the display must be disclosed and approved before installation.

ELECTRICAL ACCESS

The customer is responsible for providing safe, functional, accessible electrical outlets capable of supporting the agreed lighting installation.

Electrical outlets, GFCI devices, breakers, extension circuits, and other property electrical systems must be in proper working condition.

Holiday lighting installation does not include electrical diagnosis, electrical-system repair, installation of new circuits or outlets, or correction of inadequate electrical capacity unless specifically quoted and performed by an appropriately qualified provider.

The customer is responsible for electricity consumed by seasonal lighting.

GFCI OUTLETS, BREAKERS & POWER INTERRUPTIONS

Rain, snow, moisture, electrical conditions, or other circumstances may occasionally cause GFCI outlets or breakers to trip.

Customers should notify Johnson Seasonal Services if installed lighting stops operating.

Property electrical problems, defective outlets, overloaded household circuits, damaged customer equipment, utility interruptions, or other electrical conditions outside the lighting installation are not included in normal seasonal lighting maintenance.

UNLIMITED NORMAL IN-SEASON MAINTENANCE

Seasonal Christmas lighting installations performed by Johnson Seasonal Services include unlimited normal in-season maintenance during the customer's display season.

Normal maintenance may include:

  • Replacement of failed bulbs when applicable

  • Correction of failed lighting strands

  • Reattachment of professionally installed lighting that becomes loose

  • Correction of normal clip or attachment failures

  • Timer or connection adjustments related to our installation

  • Troubleshooting of lighting supplied and installed by Johnson Seasonal Services

Customers should contact Johnson Seasonal Services when a maintenance concern develops rather than attempting to move, repair, reconnect, or reinstall lighting themselves.

CONDITIONS NOT INCLUDED IN NORMAL SEASONAL MAINTENANCE

Unlimited seasonal maintenance does not include repair or replacement necessitated by:

  • Severe or extraordinary storms

  • Falling trees or tree limbs

  • Ice or excessive snow loads

  • Property damage

  • Roof, gutter, siding, or structural failure

  • Animals or wildlife

  • Pets

  • Vandalism or theft

  • Vehicles

  • Snow-removal equipment

  • Landscaping or property-maintenance equipment

  • Construction or other contractors

  • Customer or third-party alteration of the lighting

  • Customer-owned lighting or décor unless otherwise agreed

  • Electrical-system problems unrelated to the installation

  • Power outages

  • Damage caused by circumstances outside the control of Johnson Seasonal Services

Additional labor, materials, replacement products, or service resulting from these conditions may be quoted and billed separately.

CUSTOMER ALTERATIONS

Customers should not relocate, disconnect, modify, extend, staple, repair, or otherwise alter professionally installed lighting without first contacting Johnson Seasonal Services.

Alterations by the customer or another party may affect the operation and safety of the display and may result in additional charges if corrective service is required.

WEATHER & INSTALLATION SCHEDULING

Christmas light installation and takedown are weather-dependent services.

Rain, snow, ice, high winds, extreme temperatures, unsafe roof conditions, and other weather events may delay installation, maintenance, or removal appointments.

Scheduled dates are estimates and may be adjusted when conditions make work unsafe or impractical.

INSTALLATION DATE VS. LIGHTING DATE

Early installation may be recommended so customers can reserve an installation position before the busiest portion of the holiday season.

Lighting may be installed before the customer intends to begin displaying it.

Customers may request timer settings or activation dates when compatible with the installed system.

TAKEDOWN

Seasonal lighting takedown occurs after the holiday display season according to route scheduling, weather, accessibility, and site conditions.

Takedown dates are not guaranteed to occur immediately following a particular holiday or calendar date.

Customers should not remove Johnson Seasonal Services lighting or seasonal décor unless specifically authorized.

STORAGE

When storage is included in the customer's service, Johnson Seasonal Services will remove and store applicable seasonal lighting and décor until the next installation season.

Customer-owned decorations or materials may be excluded from storage unless specifically agreed in writing.

PROPERTY ACCESS

The customer agrees to provide safe and reasonable access to areas required for installation, maintenance, and takedown.

Gates must be accessible, pets must be safely secured, and vehicles or other obstacles may need to be moved when requested.

Inability to access the property may delay service and may require an additional visit.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information regarding the property and requested design.

  • Notify Johnson Seasonal Services of known structural or electrical concerns.

  • Provide functional electrical access.

  • Maintain reasonable access to the property for installation, maintenance, and takedown.

  • Promptly report lighting problems.

  • Avoid altering the installed lighting.

  • Notify Johnson Seasonal Services of property changes that may affect the installation.

  • Pay required deposits and balances according to applicable payment terms.

QUOTES & CHANGES TO THE DESIGN

Pricing is based upon the approved lighting design, products, materials, labor requirements, property conditions, and information available when the quote is prepared.

Requests to add rooflines, trees, wreaths, garland, landscaping, additional colors, additional décor, or other features after approval may increase the final price.

Any substantial change to the approved design may require an updated quote.

DEPOSITS & PAYMENT

Holiday lighting projects totaling more than $500 may require a 50% deposit before the installation can be placed on the schedule and/or materials reserved.

Credit card payments of $500 or more may be subject to a 3% processing fee in accordance with the Johnson Seasonal Services Payment Policy and applicable project terms.

Any promotional offer or early-booking incentive is subject to the terms stated in that promotion.

EARLY-BOOKING PROMOTIONS

Promotional incentives apply only when all stated eligibility requirements and deadlines are satisfied.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, promotional offers cannot be combined.

Promotional seasonal décor, including complimentary-use wreaths, may remain the property of Johnson Seasonal Services and will be removed during seasonal takedown.

CANCELLATIONS & SCHEDULE CHANGES

Because holiday lighting is seasonal and installation capacity is limited, cancellations or significant design changes may affect deposits, reserved materials, and scheduling.

Applicable cancellation, refund, and payment terms will be governed by the customer's approved quote, Payment Policy, and other applicable Johnson Seasonal Services agreements.

EXISTING PROPERTY CONDITIONS

Johnson Seasonal Services is not responsible for pre-existing damage or defects involving roofing, gutters, siding, soffits, fascia, masonry, landscaping, trees, electrical systems, outlets, structures, or other property components.

Customers should disclose known concerns before work begins.
